Trump Threatens Military Action Against Iran

According to foreign media such as Reuters and Anadolu News Agency, on July 6 local time, U.S. President Trump once again threatened to take military action against Iran.

On that day, Trump said to reporters in the Oval Office: "We either reach an agreement or complete the task. Completing the task is not difficult. I prefer to reach an agreement, because I don’t want to affect the 91 million people in Iran."

He claimed, “We can destroy their bridges within an hour, we can cut off their energy supply… They have no money now, we haven’t given them any money at all.”

"We could destroy their power grids and power plants. In short, it would take less than a single afternoon to do so, and all the power plants would cease to exist. They know this." Trump said.

In addition, Trump reiterated that Iran should not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons.

Subsequently, at the lunch meeting, Trump stated that recent U.S. military actions had weakened Iran's military capabilities, and once again urged Tehran to reach an agreement.

We eliminated their navy, air force, radar, and their leaders. We wiped out everyone, Trump said. “And then I heard they're doing fine now. No, they're not doing fine at all.”

Trump said that Iran is “very eager” to reach an agreement. “They must reach the right agreement, because they cannot have nuclear weapons.”

He claimed that the United States will win anyway, "We will win in a friendly way, or we will win in an unfriendly way."

Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohammad Baqer Sorgahdar said that Trump's threats were "delusions".

He said, “The Iranians are not familiar with language of threats. Therefore, please approach the Iranian people with respect; otherwise, we will respond in another language.”

The funeral ceremony for the late Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei began on the 4th local time. Reuters reported that at the funeral, Iranians did not appear weak due to this war between the United States and Israel against Iran. Instead, they showed unity and determination to shape the future.
