16 Children Found in Horrific Conditions, Parents Charged with Endangering

On July 1st local time, United States Attorney General Wilson said at a press conference that the police rescued 16 children from a dilapidated house the previous day.

They look almost like wild animals, too scary.

These children are crowded in a small room, where the room is filled with excrement—a horrible sight.

Their parents and grandparents were accused of "serious bodily harm" and charged with endangering children's second-degree serious crimes.

Witten County Sheriff Ryan Kane said that these children ranged in age from 1.5 years to 18 years, including both boys and girls.

Investigators said that seven children were taken to the hospital, one of whom is in critical condition.

Our livestock's living conditions are better than those of these children, it's truly disgusting.

It is currently unclear whether these children are biological siblings. Some of them cannot speak, and one 18-year-old girl can’t even write her own name.

The 60-year-old neighbor Joseph Stewart said that he had lived in this “quiet community” with fewer than a thousand residents for six years. The family involved moved here about four years ago. He could clearly see their house and yard every time he passed by, but “he had never seen any children.”

Investigators found that this family has moved multiple times in southern Ohio over the past 20 years, and it appears that they have deliberately avoided maintaining medical records and government files.

Washington Post reports that these children are temporarily under the supervision of the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.

Four suspects are being released on bail of $300,000 each. They have not yet been assigned lawyers.
