According to Business Insider’s report on July 2nd, Sotheby’s will start the auction of a black leather jacket worn by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang on July 7th.

Sotheby's estimates the transaction price to be between $40,000 and $60,000 (approximately 272,000 to 408,000 yuan), which is roughly equivalent to the price of NVIDIA's Blackwell AI chip.
A Sotheby's spokesperson stated that before July 16th, this leather jacket will be displayed at Sotheby’s in New York, and the auction will conclude on July 17th.
Reports say that, just like Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, who was known for his black turtleneck, as Nvidia becomes a leading force in the AI revolution, Jensen Huang has turned his black leather jacket into a recognizable symbol in the tech industry.
People often see Hanwell wearing it at product launches and developer conferences.
Sotheby's stated that the third-party card authentication and grading company, Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA), confirmed through photo comparison that this leather jacket was indeed worn by Jerry Huang on October 18, 2023, in Taiwan. On that day, he attended Hon Hai Technology Day in Taipei. The signature on the jacket has been authenticated by the third-party appraisal institution, James Spence Authentication (JSA).
According to reports, neither Tom Ford nor NVIDIA's representatives responded to requests for comment.
According to previous reports by China New Jingwei, in a Korean variety show, Jensen Huang explained why he wore leather jackets. He said, "My wife told me to wear them. Everything I wear is bought by my wife." Jensen Huang stated that he does not shop at all. "Since I met my wife at the age of 17, I have never purchased anything."
