Pakistan plays a very important mediating role in the conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran. On July 3, former Pakistani Foreign Minister Sheila Rana Nawaz-Hal stated at the 14th World Peace Forum that she was proud of the diplomatic efforts made by her country.
Hina Rabbani Khar was appointed as Foreign Minister in 2011 and served until 2013. She was Pakistan’s first female Foreign Minister.
"Our actions are not only for our own nation, but also for the entire world. From a governmental perspective, contributing to global civilization is very important, and this is just one of our meager contributions." said Hannah Rabbani Haral.
She said that in today's world, dialogue and negotiation are a scarce commodity. In the era she grew up in, everyone hoped to resolve conflicts through dialogue and negotiation. Pakistan also engages in dialogue with its neighboring countries. "In this context, Pakistan is very proud to see that we can make efforts for the civilization of a nation to be liberated—this is of historical significance."
